lyrics
The ice was melting in my head
A steady drip of cosmic dread
Tomes of subtext gone unread
A fight to get out of bed
Had no clue where this was going
Or even if it was worth knowing
All I knew was that I was depressed
A score and a half repressed
A search for meaning
On the ceiling
Rebuild from the ash
A new beginning
A heart gone brimming
Epiphany at last
Love your shadow
Hold it tight
Hear your inner child
It's filled with love and light
Jung at heart, self affection
Opened up, vivisectioned
Now I know that I are we
A loving trust indeed
Every second
The future beckons
To get it right this time
A lethal question
Beyond suggestion
All is redefined
Love your shadow
Hold it tight
Hear your inner child
It's filled with love and light
Even if you feel alone
Inside your mind
You and I
So as below
Will rise above in time
Don't look to crosscuts
To find a deeper peace
Through the fire and through the fog
Is where you'll find relief
In this holy spectrogram
A whole life lived beneath
Beatific imperfection
Is all we'll ever need
Love your shadow
Hold it tight
Hear your inner child
It's filled with love and light
Only the master of horror could give a good name to re-recordings. This compilation of just rips. John's my favorite filmmaker AND my favorite composer. How many people get to say that?? Fearful Earful
Such a different album compared to his others, but honestly, it’s still a stellar album! My favorite track, 21st Century Nightmare, is one of my favorite songs of Nick’s! :) It’s such a clever and fun song with the guitar, clever lyrics, and funky instrumentals. But although that track outshines the rest by a lot, the entire album is amazing! An honorable mention is Tip of My Tongue, as it’s a really powerful song to me, and it’s truly amazing :,) Thanks, Nick, for the fun album! :D <3 chefsdaughter418
